Craving more steampunk adventure after The Tumbleweed Zephyr? Return to the world of New Providence with special encore readings of The Clockwork Professor by Maggie Lee!

Pork Filled Productions presents two special staged readings, Wednesdays, August 19 and 26, at 7:30 pm at the Mainstage of 12th Avenue Arts (1620 12th Avenue, Seattle, WA), featuring a multicultural cast, drawing upon some of the original cast of 2013’s smash hit.

In the world of New Providence (like our Victorian era but with significant technological differences), Professor Seamus Pemberton is a humble inventor, a quiet man of science. But political unrest sweeps the great city of New Providence and buried secrets erupt from his past to threaten everything that he holds dear, perhaps even the Crown itself!

Admission is FREE with a valid Zephyr ticket stub OR $5, at Brown Paper Tickets (http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/1648512) or at the door.

Tumbleweed Zephyr is a spin-off from The Clockwork Professor, so it’s all connected” says PFP Executive Director Roger Tang. “With our remount of this reading, the audience can catch those connections and further explore the New Providence universe.  So if you missed Clockwork the first time, or just want to see it again, now’s your chance!”

PFP is proud to participate in Teen Tix. For more information, please email Pork Filled Productions at info@porkfilled.com.

Pork Filled ProductionsSpinning off from the long running sketch comedy group the Pork Filled Player, Pork Filled Productions stretches the boundaries of Asian American theatre. Reflecting the imagination and creativity of modern Asian American artists, Pork Filled Products reworks traditional Asian American theatre to embrace the full spectrum of genres, from steampunk (The Clockwork Professor) to supernatural comedies (Big Hunk o’ Burnin’ Love by Prince Gomolvilas), to mistaken race farces (Yellow Face by David Henry Hwang) to crime family con games (Fast Company by Carla Ching) and yes, even Kung-fu zombie Shakespeare (Living Dead in Denmark by Qui Nguyen).

This reading of The Clockwork Professor is supported by 4Culture and the Office of Arts & Culture Seattle. Pork Filled Productions is powered by Shunpike. Shunpike is the 501(c)(3) non-profit agency that provides independent arts groups in Washington with the services, resources and opportunities they need to forge their own paths to sustainable success.
