Postdoctoral Fellowships

Asian/Asian American Studies Postdoctoral Fellowships at Wesleyan University, 2003-2005. Wesleyan University invites applications for two two-year fellowships. 1) Asian Diaspora in the Americas. We seek a historian whose research focuses on the transnational histories of Asian peoples in the Americas, with a particular interest in comparative scholarship and the migration experience. 2) Asian American Cultural Studies. We seek a scholar, in the humanities or the social sciences whose research focuses on the emergence in the Americas of cultural forms and practices (arts, cinema, media, theater) associated with Asian migrations to the hemisphere. The fellowships carry limited teaching duties (one course per semester), and funding for scholarly research and professional development. Annual stipend of $45,320, plus benefits. Preference will be given to candidates who have received their degrees in the last four years. Deadline: January 10, 2003.
