Obie-winning director Eric Ting, acclaimed as a champion of new plays, has taken over the reins of the troupe from longtime head Jonathan Moscone, a charismatic leader whose 16-year tenure transformed the company from a lackluster institution to regional gem. All eyes are now on Ting, a rare Asian-American to head a classical stage troupe, to see where he will lead the $5 million company, which launches its summer season May 25.
