UT’s Department of Theatre and Dance is one of the largest theatre and dance departments in the country, with 50 full-time faculty and staff, and 400 undergraduate and 70 graduate students. Our aim is to serve as the ultimate creative incubator for the next generation of artists, thinkers and leaders in theatre and performance. To that end, we strive to create the most intellectually diverse, inclusive and equitable institution possible, and are committed to cultivating a faculty that reflects the experience and expertise of historically underrepresented groups.
The Costume Design faculty member will join UT’s dynamic Live Design program, and will collaborate with faculty, as well as graduate and undergraduate students across all areas of theatre, dance, and production. We seek candidates with Costume Design experience in one or more of the following areas: Theatre, Film, Television, Performance Art, Dance, Physical Theatre, Opera, and/or other Live Arts events. The department is strongly committed to the creation of new work and the exploration of new ways of working.
