2020 Obies Span Playwrighting to Acting to Advocacy
The 2020 Obies, given for excellence in Off Broadway Theatre, recognized a slew of Asian American theatre artists for work on stage, on the page and behind the scenes, with notable achievements in artistry and advocacy.

Haruna Lee, for the Conception and Writing of Suicide Forest (Ma-Yi Theater Company, Bushwick Starr)
PERFORMANCE
Joe Ngo, Cambodian Rock Band (Signature Theatre)
DESIGN
Yu-Hsuan Chen, Set Design, Our Dear Dead Drug Lord (WP Theater, Second Stage, by special arrangement with Benjamin Simpson and Joseph Longthorne)
