CAATA Announces Health Care Plan

CAATA Announces Health Care For Members

CAATA Announces Health Care PlanThe Consortium of Asian American Theaters and Artists (CAATA) is thrilled to announce a new national healthcare benefits program for its members!

This has been something in the works with the Board and Executive Director Kayla Kim Votapek for a while now. CAATA acknowledges that this may not be the best option for everyone but we wanted to offer an option.  CAATA is also opening our membership to any theatre artist who would like to support our initiatives. So, please do not hesitate to reach out if you are in need of health care and looking for another option!

These benefits include health insurance plans, dental insurance, vision coverage, and supplemental plans — including critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident, and life insurance.

And best of all? They’re open year-round (no open enrollment period), accessible for individuals AND small businesses, offered at competitive group rates, and super easy to use.

This offering was made possible through the generous support and guidance of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance (New Jersey Theatre Alliance ), which first initiated a version of this healthcare option for theater workers in New Jersey. CAATA thanks John McEwen, NJTA’s Executive Director, and Erica Nagel, NJTA’s Deputy Director, for their leadership and insight in helping CAATA navigate healthcare options for its national network.
