Chicago’s 2017 Equity Joseph Jefferson Awards (to be awarded on Nov. 6) announced nominations today and two Asian American theatre artists landed nominations:
New Play
Madhuri Shekar — “Queen” — Victory Gardens Theater
Costume Design — Midsize
Izumi Inaba — “A Comedical Tragedy for Mister Punch” — The House Theatre of Chicago
As well, Adam Poss was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in Shekar’s Queen.
