Sono Osato has passed away. She was the original “Miss Turnstiles “ (described as All American girl, Ivy Smith)(and she was!) from teethe innovative Broadway musical. ON THE TOWN (1944)(which, if you’ll note, was when her family was in the WWII incarceration.
