Like their peers in Seattle and San Francisco, Asian American theatre artists grabbed a double handful of awards at Los Angeles’ 2019 Ovation Awards for excellence in theatre (large and small!) in the Los Angeles area.
David Henry Hwang’s prescient Soft Power and East West Players’ Walls Grow Thin led the way. As well, Kristina Wong was awarded the Center Theater Group’s Sherwood Award for emerging artists.
