From the Two Tongues mailing list:
the spring season is on its way, and so are the Tongues! after a chill winter season, I Was Born with Two Tongues brings you the Yellow Technicolor 2002 and a host of new destinations.
we haven't been slacking! check for the 2tongues CDs, the Mango Tribe production, and denizen kane's new solo album in the next few months! also look out for dennis kim to appear on HBO's def poetry jam and a letter we're currently drafting regarding this poetry jam.
as our token "yellow" month approaches, remember to speak up, speak out and take action! Since September 11th, up to 2,000 people in the United States have been detained without trial, or charge, or even legal rights. The fate of most is unknown. In particular, Arabs and south Asians are being rounded up and subjected to indefinite detention. doesn't this sound a little too similar to executive order 9066 issued in 1941 against japanese americans? know your history and be aware of current politics. some of this shit is rarely covered in the media. so that's what's most pressing on our minds.
below is a sneak peek at our spring 'weekend' tour schedule. there's still some more shows trickling in so check our site often.
as always, support your local artists!
love,
*I was born with two tongues*
