(February 16, 2000) - WCBS-TV celebrates the month of February with Fulfilling the Dream, a unique initiative designed to spotlight individuals from New York's numerous, multi-ethnic communities, who have made significant contributions in their respective fields, and furthered the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 2nd Generation production's Welly Yang is prominent among the honorees. The culmination of this 6-week effort is a special, half-hour program profiling this year's honorees. The show will air on WCBS-TV on Friday, March 3rd at 7pm and will be hosted by News 2's Dana Tyler.

This year's 10 recipients were chosen from hundreds of entries from across the tri-state area. The station has already introduced these individulas to viewers via 30-second spots that have aired throughout the month. The half-hour special is a more expansive look at the honorees including a glimpse into the daily challenges and rewards of their efforts.
