Second Generation Productions' "In the Works" Reading Series

Beginning this summer!! Develop your works!!!!

Each month a new play, musical, screenplay, etc. (one act of full-length) will be presented free of charge to the general public. Each reading will be followed by a Q & A session with the author and actors. If you have an original play, musical, or screenplay, etc. with Asian or Asian-American related themes, and would like to be considered to participate in this new and exciting program, please submit materials to:

1st Reading Thursday, June 17, 1999
There will be one reading per month on an on-going basis.

1. Scripts will be accepted up to 4 weeks prior to that month's reading
2. 1st Reading script deadline May 20th
3. Scripts given prior consideration will continue to be considered
4. Script consideration based on:
a) Quality of script
b) Ability to be performed in a reading format
c) Consistency with 2G's artistic vision

*All accepted scripts will be considered for future mainstage productions.

Second Generation Productions is a non-profit multi-arts company dedicated to giving a voice to those unheard, and in doing so, nurturing a richer and more daring American culture. Our first three years have been dedicated towards telling the stories of Asian Americans, a voice largely absent from the rich tapestry of American culture. We have created and presented highly acclaimed mainstage productions, as well as a New Works Series, a Concert Series in New York and Asia, and an Artist?s Resource, quickly building up a reputation of integrity and artistic excellence in the New York cultural scene.
