AATC presents reading of new 12-minute playsIn celebration of the Lunar New Year, the Asian American Theater Company presents a reading of 12-minute plays.
The Lord Buddha summoned all the animals to come to him before he departed from Earth. Only twelve animals came to bid him farewell. As a reward he named a year after each one in the order that it arrived. First came the Rat, then the Ox, the Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Boar. AATC called for play submissions for the Lunar New Year, asking writers to write 12-minute plays in twelve days. Come see our Snake Year winners! Join us and hear about the hung bao, the dragon and the snake, paying your debts, firecrackers Gong Xi Fa Cai! Year of the Snake Play readings will be held February 24th at 8 PM Japanese Cultural and Community Center 1840 Sutter St. (at Webster). For reservations, please call 415-440-5545. You may also make reservations via email at info@asianamericantheater.org. There is a $5 suggested donation at the door.
