APA Acting Studio: Unleashing Your Inner Actor
October 4 - November 22, 2003

APA Playwriting Studio Course Description
This 8 week course, meeting 2-hours each week, is aimed at playwrights of all levels looking for instruction on turning a narrative into a powerful work of theater. Taught by renowned bay-area playwright, Shawn Taylor, this class will take you through the steps from storyboard and character development to seaming together dialogue and plot lines. Limited to 10-12 people, classes will feature both lecture and hands-on application. Class will culminate in a public reading of selected scenes from each student.

APA Acting Studio Course Description
This 8 week course, meeting 2.5-hours each week, is aimed at actors of all levels looking to learn the basics or hone their existing craft. Classes will involve learning proper techniques in warm-up, voice, movement, and auditioning. Taught by AATC's Managing Artistic Director, Sean Lim, students in this class will investigate the principles of acting from genres including Stanislavsky, Linklater, Meyerhold, and Alexander through scene assignments from both APA and non-APA theatrical work. Limited to 10-12 people, classes will feature both lecture and hands-on application. Class will culminate in a public presentation of selected scenes from each student.
