Philadelphia's AIA offers apprenticeship

The Asian Arts Initiative is excited to offer an Artist Apprenticeship in summer 2009!

The apprentice will assist multidisciplinary painter, muralist, and hip-hop artist Jeff Cylkowski (BFA, Pratt Institute) during his residency at the Asian Arts Initiative. Projects will include a site-specific installation, two group exhibitions, and a 6-week series of youth arts workshops on painting and mural-making.

Applicants must submit a short letter explaining their interest and 5-10 images of their work. All majors are welcome although Fine Arts majors specializing in Painting are preferred. Applicants must commit to 10-20 hours per week from the end of June to mid-August.
