ASIA member Ron Oshima to receive Goldwater Award

WASHINGTON, D.C.&Mac247; ASIA member and artistic associate Ron Oshima will be honored with The Mary Goldwater Award by the Theatre Lobby for his outstanding work as sound designer of the Washington Shakespeare Company's highly-acclaimed production of Franz Kafka's Metamorphosis at an awards ceremony on May 10, 1999 at 8 PM at the Writer&Mac226;s Center, 4508 Walsh St., Bethesda, Maryland.

The Mary Goldwater Award recognizes "excellence against odds" focusing on the smaller theatre in the Washington area which persevere under difficult circumstances.

Other honorees include actors Delia Taylor, Bill Hamlin, Bill Largess, lighting designer Ayun Fedorcha, and Le Neon Theatre.
