ARTWALLAH 2005 CALL FOR WORKS!

::Calling All Artists::
ArtWallah, Festival of the South Asian Diaspora, wants you to be a part of its Sixth Annual Festival! They are now accepting submissions from artists locally, nationally, and abroad, and encourage both established and emerging artists to submit your works. The Festival will be held July 7-10, 2005 at the Barnsdall Art Park in Hollywood, CA. All submissions must be postmarked by February 15th, 2005.

ArtWallah is a well-respected festival that seeks to showcase innovative works that express the political, personal, and cultural celebrations and/or struggles of the South Asian diaspora as they are experienced around the world.

::WHAT WE DO::
ArtWallah is a chance for you to gain exposure while sharing your work with a diverse audience. It also offers the opportunity for you to meet and collaborate with both established and emerging artists over a 4-day period.

ArtWallah is a grassroots initiative responding to the need for a platform of expression and a channel of communication between South Asian diasporic artists and their communities. Past festivals have always been powerful and astounding in their sheer breadth display of talent as the essence of all diasporic South Asians emerges with passion and inspires all involved!

There are stipend possibilities for artists' travel costs--these will be determined on a case-by-case basis. We look forward to your submissions. Please hHelp spread the word and pass along this information to everyone with a creative character!
