Breathing Space, an original sketch comedy inspired by true events.
Produced, Written & Directed by Kiki Yeung.

Breathing space brings what seem to be dull, overlooked moments of life into light with edge and humor. Add a touch of Soy Sauce & Spice!

Commitment begins: REHEARSALS are April 24th to June 1st!
7-10pm Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, & 5-9pm Saturdays.

Tech Rehearsals and Performances from June 5th thru June 30th.
(Amount of rehearsals varies depending on role. Location in Seattle.)

Auditions: 3/22, 3/23 Thurday & Friday 6:00 - 9:00pm

Callbacks: 3/29, 3/30 Thursday & Friday 6:00 - 9:00pm
(Location in Belltown, Seattle)

Auditions are 10 minutes time slots. Bring Headshot & Resume!
Auditions may consist of a monologue, 2 minutes max, and reading from the script.
Singers & musicians, 2 bar song. Dancers/Performers, 1 min. choreography/act.
Callbacks will include cold-readings from the script.

Casting - Characters have multiple roles.

Mid 30's African American - Jackson Johnson, male lead, Jockie's boyfriend. Fashion designer, questions everything, clumpsy, trips everywhere. Thinks outside the box. Actor plays an instrument, guitar, piano, trumpet a plus!

Mid 20's Asian male - Rickie Sze To, Jockie's boyfriend. Man w/few words, anger problem, straight shooter, chain smoker, makes burst of sounds, plays the piano, loves to sing to his sister and friends.

Early 20's Asian male - Jason Lee, Rickie's friend.
Mid 40's Asian male - Mr. Tao, likes to fart.
40's-60's Asian female- Mrs. Tao, beautiful, proper, vain.
Mid 30's Asian female
Mid 30's Caucasian male
Early to late 20's Caucasian female
Early to late 20's Mexican/Indian male - Or actor who can play younger age.
Native American mid 40's female

June 22rd, 23rd, 29th, 30th, Fridays & Saturdays. Freehold East Hall Theatre

Depending on ticket sales, actors are compensated % of ticket sales.
There will be heavy Marketing/PR Promotion of Breathing Space.
