Los Angeles ‹ (August 19, 2010) ‹ The Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment (CAPE) Foundation, Inc., a non-profit arts and entertainment organization, proudly announces Ms. Nina Tassler, President of CBS Entertainment, as the first honoree of three (3) at the annual CAPE Soiree to be held on December 2, 2010 at the world famous Los Angeles landmark Vibiana located in Downtown.  More information at www.capeusa.org.

Ms. Tassler will be awarded with a CAPE Visionary Award for her leadership in championing Asians, Pacific Islanders and diversity both in front and behind the camera in such hit series as the CSI franchise, the NCIS franchise, The Mentalist, the Good Wife, Big Bang Theory, The Amazing Race, Big Brother, and the upcoming Hawaii 5-O series.

"Nina has been a longtime champion of diversity in the industry, both in front of and behind the camera.  In the concepts she has developed, casts she has assembled, and staff she has hired, Nina strives for excellence and inclusion", states CAPE Board President Mr. Stephen Tao, "For the last six
years, she and CBS have also been avid supporters of CAPE, underwriting both our TV Pitch Lab and Actors' Headshot Review programs. When it came to deciding whom to honor, Nina was our unanimous choice for the 2010 Visionary Award."

CAPE's Board of Advisors include distinguished executives and artists such as Ang Lee, John Woo, Terence Chang, Dean Devlin, Warrington Hudlin, David Henry Hwang, Lou Diamond Phillips, Richard Sakai, B.D. Wong, Chris Lee, Fritz Friedman, Janet Yang and Teddy Zee.
