Auditions for Cleveland Raining

The Theatre and Dance Department at U.C. Davis is producing an Asian American play (at the beginning of Spring Quarter) titled, Cleveland Raining by Korean American poet-playwright R. Sung Rno. "I'm co-directing it with another Theatre & Dance professor, Barbara Sellers-Young.," says co-director Karen Shimakawa, a professor at UC-Davis.

"I'd *really* like to see some Asian American students come out and audition, and come out and support the production once it's playing -- it's not often that an Asian American play is produced here, and a strong showing of support will demonstrate to the Department and the University that there is significant interest in Asian American performance on campus."
