Spring Conservatory for directors in LABUT WHAT I REALLY WANT TO DO IS DIRECT.... Ever had the desire to direct? Well...here's your chance! East West Spring Conservatory is offering a directing class taught by Heidi Helen Davis. Heidi is no stranger to theatre; before embarking on a directing career, she graduated from the Master Training Program at A.C.T. in San Francisco, followed by a three year stint with the company performing lead roles. Her directorial works of note include Eulogy and Treats at the Ensemble Studio Theater, S.A.M. I AM, Not a Through Street, Songs of Harmony at East West Players, and The Seagull, The Glass Menagerie, A Streetcar Named Desire, and Lettice and Lovage at the Will Geer Botanicum. She has taught acting at U.C.L.A., Cal State L.Al, Cal State Bakersfield, East West Players, California Summer School for the Arts and privately. She currently teaches scene study at the Howard Fine Studio in Hollywood. We feel extremely fortunate to have Heidi on board at the conservatory and hope you will take advantage of this opportunity. As Producing Director Tim Dang states, "East West Players is that special place where one can learn at one's own pace and experiment without pressure from outside distractions. Come join us!" Class begins Saturday, April 15th at the EWP warehouse. Cost is $350.00 for 12 weeks. For further info, call Marilyn Tokuda at 213/625-7000, x28.
