EAST WEST PLAYERS
SPRING CONSERVATORY
APRIL 8TH - JUNE 15TH
Fundamentals of Acting
Taught by Glen Chin
For beginning actors. A disciple of Darryl Hickman and Tony Award winner Charles Nelson Reilly, Glen will guide his students through a series of exercises, observations and demonstrations geared towards expanding ones imagination, creativity and process.
Monday evenings beginning April 8th through June 17th from 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm at the East West Players warehouse. Cost - $350.00 for 10 week session (May 27th) There is a $50 discount for EWPACTS members!
*Please note there is a one time $25 registration fee for first time students.
Scene Study
Taught by Heidi Helen Davis
Intermediate or advanced students only.
Saturdays from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm beginning April 13th - June 15th at the East West Players warehouse.

AUDITIONING & MARKETING 101 CLASS DESCRIPTION
This 6-week class aims to show actors how to go from an "aspiring actor" to a "working actor". We will cover everything from getting the right agent and knowing how to get your foot in the door to nailing the audition, the callback, and booking the job.

GLEN CHIN BIO
Fundamentals of Acting
Glen graduated from University of the Pacific. Teaching includes acting, improvisation theater, musical theater and voice at venues such as: East West Players, East Los Angeles College, San Joaquin Delta College. Directorial credits include Charles nelson Reilly's Associate Director on Ruby Dee's critically acclaimed one-woman show, "My One Good Nerve". Most recently directed "Heading East", an original musical celebrating California's Sesquicentennial, which is currently touring the state of California. Has guest starred on numerous television shows and was most recently seen on screen in "The Art Of Debtors", "East of A", "Partners", and "Art of War".
HEIDI HELEN DAVIS BIO
Scene Study
Heidi was a member of the San Francisco Actor's Ensemble before attending the Master Training Program at A.C.T.. She joined the A.C.T. company for three years performing lead roles in Pantagleize, Absurd Person Singular, A Month in the Country, Little Foxes, The Homecoming, Uncle Vanya, and In the Boom Boom Room. She also performed at theaters such as the Mark Taper Forum and A Contemporary Theater. Directorial works of note include "Eulogy" and "Treats" at the Ensemble Studio Theater, "S.A.M I AM" , "Not a Through Street", and "Songs of Harmony" at East West Players, and "The Seagull", "The Glass" Menagerie", "A Streetcar Named Desire"and "Lettice and Loveage" at The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum. She has taught acting at UCLA, Cal State, LA, Cal State Bakersfield, East West Players, California Summer School for the Arts and privately. She currently teaches scene study at the Howard Fine Studio in Hollywood.
DAMONA RESNICK BIO
Auditioning & Marketing
Damona Resnick is with CBS Casting; she works directly under Peter Golden,
Senior VP of Talent & Casting, and Fern Orenstein, VP of Casting for Movies & Mini-Series. She has also worked for Chemin Bernard Casting on UPN's comedy series, "Moesha". In addition, Damona has experience in talent management here in Los Angeles and with CED Talent Agency in Chicago. While in Chicago, she also produced and cast several theatrical productions and independent films.
Separate from her work at CBS, Damona has worked on three films in the last year. She was the casting director for a SAG experimental short as well as a Loyola Marymount Graduate Thesis film and served as the casting coordinator for a feature film presentation starring Billy Zane.
Damona has a B.S. in Speech from Northwestern University and currently holds a position on the executive board of the Northwestern University Entertainment Alliance in Los Angeles.
Most recently, Damona assistant produced and stage-managed the very successful CBS Entertainment/East West Players showcase, and she is looking forward to working with the East West Players again. |
