Acting On Camera with Elizabeth Sung
This six-week course will focus on understanding the difference between stage and on-camera acting and learning the basics of film grammar. The class will also address fundamental screenplay structure so students can better understand how scenes fit into the bigger picture and make specific choices that serve the story. Selected scenes from a produced script will be used to take students from first audition to call back, to on-set camera work. Monologues will also be covered for on camera close-up work. The goal is to offer students a practical approach to on-camera acting, from booking the job to delivering the best performance possible. Fee required for photocopied material.
Mondays 7 pm to 11 pm, April 17 to June 12*
No class on Memorial Day, May 29
Location: TBA
Fee:$375 (ACTS $350)
