The Summer/Fall 2000 session of the Writers Institute will begin July 8 and will run into November (readings will run 11/5 to 11/15). Writers in the Institute range from absolute beginners to produced, award-winning playwrights. In the past year, our writers have been produced all over Los Angeles, and around the country. The workshop concentrates on writing exercises and discussion of structure, character, dialog. During the workshop, you will bring in work to be read, and will be given guided writing exercises, and we will focus on producing material for the reading series that ends this session. By filling out the attached application, you become eligible for this upcoming session. Please include payment via check ($350) written to East West Players (be sure to write "DHHWI" on memo line of check), or VISA/MASTERCARD info.

Your application should include:

2.) A writing sample (from any style--prose, poetry, pages from a script) of no more than two pages.
3.) A resume or short bio.
4.) A statement of your expectations and goals for your writing in these classes.
5.) Payment.
