Wanna get on ABC?

EWP has been selected, along with about a dozen other L.A. area non-profits and educational institutions, to submit two proposals for grants/scholarships to help finance creative efforts in the areas of film and television.

Selected participants will be paired with a mentor during the twelve-monthgrant period and will be given funds to help them complete their project.

If you have a screenplay - or a play that you'd like to adapt for the screen- and would like to apply, please send EWP an application in the form of:
1. A one-page (or less) synopsis of the story.
2. A cover letter describing your goals for the piece and your goals as a writer (please include all contact information, including email).
3. A resume.

Please send us your proposals by November 30. Mail them to:
EWP
244 S. San Pedro Street; Ste. 301
Los Angeles, CA 90012
attn: Ken Narasaki

EWP can only submit two proposals, and ABC will only pick two projects from the entire Los Angeles area. Awardees will be required to attend progress meetings and a three-day workshop/seminar at ABC Entertainment headquarters in Los Angeles.

If your proposals are selected, we will contact you and at that point, we will ask for work samples, a project budget, ten page excerpt or detailed treatment, and you will be asked to sign a legal agreement with ABC. We will then submit two proposals to Disney/ABC, Inc. and their applicant review committee will notify the awardees in May, 2001.
