Expand your child’s imagination with Creative Play Workshops!
This fall, East West Players Education Department is offering Creative Play Workshops for children and teens. The 8 week programs will help youth meet new friends, build self-confidence, improve communication skills, learn independent thinking, and develop creativity in a fun and supportive environment.
Led by East West Players’ seasoned teaching staff, the workshops will be held at the Maryknoll Japanese Catholic Center in the Little Tokyo District of Downtown Los Angeles.
Kids, 5-7 years old
Saturdays, Sept. 23 to Nov. 11
10:00 am - 10:45 am; cost $115
This 8 week workshop introduces students to the world of imagination through creative dramatics as it focuses on ensemble work, movement and theatre games.
Kids, 8-11 years old
Saturdays, Sept. 23 to Nov. 11
11:00 am to noon; cost $115
An 8 week workshop specially designed for kids 8-11 years old. By learning the basic skills of improvisation, students will learn the joys of creativity, self-expression and imagination! Fundamentals of theatre also emphasized.
Instructor: Lee Chen
Ms. Chen is a professional actress and teacher. She holds a MFA in youth theater and a MA in education, and has been teaching creative drama and movement to children for over 6 years.
