Fundamentals of Acting

For beginning actors. Learn to recognize the strength and power of your instincts through improvisational work - then use these instincts to explore character, text and action in scene work.

INTERMEDIATE ACTING
Taught by Glen Chin
For intermediate actors. A disciple of Darryl Hickman and Tony Award winner Charles Nelson Reilly, Glen will guide his students through a series of exercises, observations and demonstrations, including monologue and scene work, to expand their imagination, creativity and process.

MUSICAL THEATRE
Taught by John Towey
For all levels of singers. Class focuses on the principles of singing including breathing, placement of voice, and exercises to help ones voice production. Ensemble singing is also emphasized as well as solo singing (character vs technique, phrasing the lyric).
Mondays, January 14th - April 1st. 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. (Martin Luther King,

SCENE STUDY*
Taught by Heidi Helen Davis
Intermediate and advanced students only. This class exploresthe process of scene work and is aimed at developing acting skills through intensive and organic character exploration.
Saturdays, January 12th - March 16th. 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Fee: $375.

COLD READING CLASS
Taught by Demona Resnik
