Kama Hutchins, an American graduate student of one quarter Okinawan descent, teaches English in Okinawa and receives an unexpected education in Okinawan-American relations.

- Hitoshi Kaneshiro 25 Okinawan man. Harue's husband. Good comic timing.
Guitar playing & singing a plus. Must speak Japanese & English wi/Japanese accent.
- Kama Hutchins 27 One quarter Okinawan, three quarter Caucasian. American man, speaks perfect English
- Keiko Oshiro 27 Okinawa woman. Principal of Naha English School.
Traditional, serious. Must speak English with Japanese accent
- Namiye Matsuda 19 Subdued Okinawan girl. Must speak Japanese & English with Japanese accent.
