East West Players partners with The Sanford Meisner Center to introduce new class to the Actors' Conservatory.East West Players (EWP), the nation's premier Asian American theatre, continues to offer classes through its Actors' Conservatory program, winter session starting January 14, 2009. EWP's Actors Conservatory offers year-round classes providing sequential instruction. The winter session will be offering Voice and Speech, Fundamentals of Acting IV, and The Meisner Technique (offered through The Sanford Meisner Center). "I'm very excited that we are able to partner with The Meisner Center to make The Meisner Technique a part of our Actors' Conservatory classes," says Arts Education Director Marilyn Tokuda. "The Meisner Technique is a way to 'live truthfully under the given imaginary circumstances.' This technique has had a strong impact on the craft of acting that it is important for any growing artist to have the opportunity to learn from it. Our classes offer a comfortable environment for those with an Asian American background to learn this and other techniques and work together." Classes offered during the Winter Session:
