Auditions Set For Kumu Kahua’s Production Of Alani Apio’s K?mau A‘E
Director William Kahele is seeking at least 11 actors--5 men and 6 women. The past and future of the Hawaiian sovereignty movement collide when activist Michael Kawaipono is released from prison and must decide how to k?mau a‘e: to carry on. Auditions will be held at Kumu Kahua Theatre, 46 Merchant Street, on Saturday, March 17, 6pm-9pm, and Sunday, March 18, 6pm-9pm. The entrance into the theatre faces the park on Merchant Street. Performances will be from May 31 through July 1, with the possibility of a week’s extension. Auditioners are strongly encouraged to read the script before coming to audition.
