Auditions For Lee Cataluna’s Da Maya

Director Mark Lutwak is seeking 6 actors for Kumu Kahua Theatre’s production of Lee Cataluna’s comedy about local politics Da Mayah, opening August 28, 2008. Roles are available for: one local female late 20’s to late 30’s; one local female late 30’s to early 50’s; two local males early 20’s to late 30’s; two local males early 40’s to 50’s. Auditions will be held at the Kumu Kahua Theatre, corner of Merchant and Bethel Streets, Saturday, June 28 at 6pm to 9pm, and Sunday, June 29 at 3pm to 6pm. Entrance to the Kumu Kahua Theatre is from the small park on the Merchant Street side. Auditioners should come early on either day and stay for the whole time. Auditions will consist of a short a cappella song (no accompaniment - it’s not a musical), and readings from the script. Scripts are available for loan, in advance, with a $10 cash deposit at Kumu Kahua Theatre. Call 536-4222 for more information.
