Announcing The Kumu Kahua Theatre/Uhm Theatre Department Contest Winners

HONOLULU, HI  Kumu Kahua Theatre and the University of Hawai‘i at M?noa Theatre and Dance Department proudly announce the winners of their 2010 playwriting contest.

The winner of the $600 Hawai‘i Prize is Nancy Moss of Honolulu, Hawai‘i for her comedy,Will the Real Charlie Chan Please Stand Up?, Marion Lyman-Mersereau of Honolulu is the winner of the $250 Resident Prize for the play Eddie and the Upside Down Canoe, and Anne Miyamoto of Montclair, New Jersey is the winner of the $450 Pacific/Rim Prize for her play Air and Angels.

Kumu Kahua productions are made possible with support from the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, celebrating more than thirty years of culture and the arts in Hawai‘i, and the National Endowment for the Arts; The Annenberg Foundation; Paid for in part by the taxpayers of the City & County of Honolulu; the Mayor’s Office of Culture and the Arts; and Foundations, Businesses and Patrons
