Lodestone premieres A Dirty Secret Between the Toes

A comedy about racism, class warfare and a forbidden passion for horticulture

This hilarious comedy is a presentation of the East L.A. College Artists-in-Residence Program and will run at the East L.A. College Little Theatre, 1301 Ave. Cesar Chavez in Monterey Park. Written by Annette Lee, directed by Co-Artistic Director Chil Kong and joined by stunt woman and fight choreographer Diana Lee Inosanto, A DIRTY SECRET BETWEEN THE TOES runs four weeks, opening on Friday, April 20 and closing on Sunday, May 13, 2001.

In A DIRTY SECRET BETWEEN THE TOES, Chuck and Helen -- the new Asian American couple -- have moved into this picture-perfect cul de sac with a dirty secret. Jose, the gardener, helps to keep their insatiable desires and clandestine activities hidden from this upper class neighborhood all the while harboring his own little secret. When the neighborhood association president comes knocking, watch sweet little suburbia flip into a new picture of disturbing, disruptive and deliciously dirty revelations!

Lodestone Theatre Ensemble members Emily Liu (recently returned from studying Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London) and Ryun Yu (who's just finished Lane Nishikawa's film Forgotten Valor and will be appearing this August in Alice Tuan's Last of the Suns, directed by Chay Yew) will join Robert Christophe and Felipe Galvez in bringing this hilarious new comedy to life. With the help of stunt and fight choreographic stylings of Diana Lee Inosanto and her husband, Ron Balicki, the production will prove to be a fun and physically dazzling production.

Diana Lee Inosanto (actress/stuntwoman/ martial artist) and her husband Ron Balicki (stuntman/martial artist/professional fighter) have performed in various TV and film projects that include WB TV's Buffy the Vampire Slayer, FOX's Mad TV, Universal's Mystery Men, Warner Bros.' Glimmer Man, Gramercy Pictures'Barb Wire and Warner Bros.' Wild, Wild, West. In addition, they also teach martial arts throughout Europe and the United States.

Performances for A DIRTY SECRET BETWEEN THE TOES are April 20-May 13, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:30 PM and Saturday matinees at 2:00 PM (except on April 21) and Sunday evenings at 7:30 PM, at the East LA College, Little Theatre, 1301 Ave. Cesar Chavez, Monterey Park.
