MA-YI THEATRE COMPANY PRESENTS THE NEW YORK PREMIERE OF PEREGRINASYON (WANDERING NATION) A NEW PLAY BY CHRIS MILLADO

Set simultaneously in the Central Valleys of 1930s California and in the northern provinces of the Philippines, PEREGRINASYON braids two compelling narratives into a stunning work of theatre. The play juxtaposes the stories of Filipino migrant workers with that of the burgeoning peasant movement in the Philippines during the same period. The two worlds constantly collide, bleed, and inform the other in an intricately devised piece that makes use of traditional Filipino art forms such as the pasyon, kuntaw, and kali eskrima.

Come and experience the stories of Filipinos in America.
