Mellow Yellow, new AA theatre group, is launched

Have you heard of Chicago City Limits? Whose Line Is It Anyway? The Wayne Brady Show? Mellow Yellow Theatre Group? Okay, so three out of four ain’t bad. But we’d like to make it a clean sweep.

No, we’re not some strange fan club of that Mountain Dew like drink.

We’re the Mellow Yellow Theatre Group, an new Asian-American theatre group based in New York City. We perform improvisational comedy as well as traditional theatre. We’ve recently started the rehearsal part of production for our collection of short plays. To celebrate and introduce ourselves to the public, we’ve decided to have a party.

Before the music starts, we plan on entertaining everyone with a little improv to showcase our own unique brand of comedy. We call it the ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN THEATER. That’s right, we’ll be flying without a net on Saturday, September 22 in Brooklyn, NY. Improvisational comedy at its best or at least damn close.

A lot of cool folks from all over the area will be coming. Come alone, or come with friends. Find out what we’re all about. The party will be held on Saturday, September 22 at the The Bomb Shelter Industries – 68 Jay Street, 5th floor - studio 511. One block from the York Street F train station. Doors will open at 8:00 p.m. The improv show will start at 9:00 p.m. Party immediately following the show.
