The Northwest Asian American Theatre is an equal opportunity employer, committed to workforce diversity.
As the region&Mac226;s only API American theatre, NWAAT serves to promote the visions and voices of the API American community. In doing so, the theatre augments a positive self-image through the arts and provides arts access to underserved populations, such as the region&Mac226;s community of recent immigrants whose transition into American life is aided by NWAAT&Mac226;s artistic and cultural outreach efforts. In a time of ever-increasing cultural diversity, NWAAT seeks to use the medium of high-quality theatre as a bridge between the API community and the community-at-large, initiating dialogue and expanding cultural understanding. NWAAT fosters an environment where API Americans function as role models for the API community, utilizing the performing arts to re-affirm the API American experience.
