NWAAT offers auditions for Welcome to the Wongs
Northwest Asian American Theatre is holding Non-Equity auditions for Asian-American actors and are looking to cast 7 major roles with one extra (the waiter). Performers will be paid a stipend. This production will run from February 8 - March 11, 2001 at the Northwest Asian American Theatre.
Auditions will be--

NIPPON KAN THEATRE

6-10PM
(BY APPOINTMENT)
Auditionees are asked to prepare a contemporary monologue that is 5 minutes (max)
CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
- MITCH WONG/VEE-BOY Second generation college student. Only child of Mr. and Mrs. Wong
- MOM/MRS. WONG First generation middle-aged Chinese female. No or little accent. Currently separated from Mr. Wong. Also can play CHINESE WOMAN (vo)
- DAD/MR. WONG First generation middle-aged Chinese male. No or little accent.
- MAYBEL LEE Eurasian college student. Friend of Mitch.
- I-GOO WONG First generation older Chinese female. Sister of Mrs. Wong. Speaks with accent.
- PAULA WONG/ Pre-college student. Only child of I-Goo and Sook-Sook
PING-PING Wong.
- SOOK-SOOK WONG First generation older Chinese male. Speaks slowly with accent. Also should play BORDER PATROL and FAMILY FRIEND.
- WAITER Extra
