Pork Filled Players announce 2000-01 seasonSeattle's most pretentions sketch group (who else would use the "M" [multi-cultural] word in their promo material) is PROUD to announce their 2000-2001 season (See? We toldja they were pretentious). First up is DIM SUM! THE MUSICAL!, a wacky blend of hi-jinks, music, dance and (oh, yeah) a little comedy, set in the dim sum parlors of Seattle's International District. It's scheduled for a late night run, October 27 to November 19, at the Theatre Off Jackson (409 7th Ave. S.). Next up is [anti] FAMILY VALUES, your typical sketch comedy show dealing with your typical family. It plays late night (after NWAAT's production of WELCOME TO THE WONGS) and opens on February 16 until March 4, when it scrambles out of the Theatre Off Jackson (just one step before the angry crowds) and ambushes an unsuspecting Seattle Fringe Festival audience (March 8 to 18, 2001). The final show of the season is 21ST CENTURY CHOP SUEY, playing at the Theatre Off Jackson, June 1 to June 17, 2001, at 8 pm. Yes, you won't need all that caffeine to stay up and see this show (though you may need plenty of painkillers).
