Pork Filled Players Turn 10 With Lard & Order: Pork Filled Intent

Lard & Order 1

(Seattle, WA) The Pork Filled Players turn 10!

The Players celebrate with a new sketch comedy show, Lard & Order: Pork Filled Intent at their birth place, the Theatre Off Jackson (409 7th Ave. S., Seattle), with a late night show, October 19 to November 3, at 10:30 pm (after Monkey Wrench Puppet Lab’s Dracula: A Case Study).

The Players, Seattle's oldest sketch comedy group and the longest surviving Asian American theatre, launch a comedic troop surge with an all-new barrage on law and order, crime and punishment and Bush and the "T" word.
As a special added attraction, the Players are importing, not one, but two Asian Canadian sketch groups. Assaulted Fish and Disoriental (the People's Choys winner of the 2007 SKETCHOFF!#$%!!) will be joining the Players during the last two weekends of their run in an Asian North American mini-festival of sketch comedians.

Longtime Player Mok Moser steps into the director's chair, guided by producer Roger Tang. He leads the usual gang of zany misfits: Edward Tonai, Brian Beckley, Agastya Kohli, Maggie Lee, Owen Yen, and Yvette Zaepfel, along with PFP rookie Chau Luu.

Tickets for Lard & Order will be $10 general / $8 student or seniors. They can be purchased online at Ticketwindow (www.ticketwindowonline.com, 206/325-6500). For more information, call 206/365-0282, email the Players or check the PFP website at www.porkfilled.com (and watch the PFP myspace.com site, myspace.com/porkfilled, for special sneak peaks of the show!).

Since 1997, the Pork Filled Players have been titillating audiences of every race, creed and gender across the Northwest.
   Major festival appearances include:
   • SketchFest Seattle, the nation’s first non-profit sketch comedy festival;
   • SketchOff@%#? (Vancouver, BC), the first Asian North American sketch comedy festival);
   • Bumbershoot, Seattle’s annual arts extravaganza, and
   • The Seattle Fringe Theatre Festival.

This past March, PFP presented its first, full-length comedy, the smash hit Big Hunk O’ Burnin’ Love. Now, with sketch comedy, musicals and full length dramas in their repertoire, the Players are fully armed in their mission to achieve maximum tongue-in-cheekiness, with biting cultural and political satire, hilarious racial disharmony and an Amazing Kung-Fu Grip!tm

The Pork Filled Players are a proud member of Theatre Puget Sound. www.seattleperforms.com
