Introducing the AART ACTORS ENSEMBLE...

The AART Actors Ensemble will provide a place for actors and artists ofall backgrounds and levels. It will also serve to develop our talent pool, strengthening the presence and visibility of Asian Pacific American people and themes in San Diego.

FEES:
$60 bi-annual (6 Months)
$100 annual (12 Months)

Must meet requirement of 20 hours of volunteer time per quarter (three months). Includes participation in shows, staff involvement or other opportunities.

Inability to meet any requirement revokes membership and right to participate in any "perks."

OFFERED CLASSES
Audition or interview required for entry.
Listed prices reflect tuition for non-members)

1. CRAFT LAB
$200 for 10-week course
A great course for beginners, or experienced actors. Build your foundation as you learn the basics of acting through games and exploratory exercises. Taught by Artistic Director Andy Lowe.

2. INTERMEDIATE CRAFT LAB
$200 for 8-week course
Monologues, scene work, and craft guided by AART's resident director George Yé.

3. ADVANCED ACTOR JAM SESSION
Ongoing. Membership dues and audition required for entry. A free-for-all workshop where anything goes! Scene and monologue work with a group of peers. This will also serve as a place to develop, preview and workshop new plays under consideration for future AART productions.

4. CAMERA TECHNIQUE & THE BUSINESS OF ACTING
$250 for 10-week course
Getting 8x10's, building a resume, what does a union do? How do I get an Agent? How is auditioning and acting for the camera different than for the stage? Develop your "self packaging" techniques with this informative workshop.

5. IMPROV COMEDY LAB
$150 for 8-week course
Improvisational skill is a tool no actor can do without! Build your reflexes and sharpen your wit through fun and hilarious theatre games.

6. MORE SPECIAL WORKSHOPS, SEMINARS, AND GUEST SPEAKERS (TBA)
