ASIAN AMERICAN REPERTORY THEATRE TO BENEFIT FROM FILIPINO-AMERICAN POETRY GALA SPONSORED BY DIARIO VERITASSan Diego Asian American Repertory Theatre is proud to announce its selection as a beneficary of "A Gala of Filipino-American Poetry", a night celebrating Filipino and Filipino-American culture, Tuesday, August 18, 1998 at the Lyceum Theatre in downtown San Diego. Sponsored by Diario Veritas, a newspaper featuring Philippine News, Features, and Perspectives, the gala commemorates the Centennial Anniversary of the Declaration of Philippine Independence from Spain. In addition to AART, proceeds from the gala will also benefit the San Diego Pilipino Youth Group and Project Heart to Heart community service organizations. A Gala of Filipino-American Poetry takes place Tuesday, August 18, 1998 at the Lyceum Theatre, at the Horton Plaza shopping center in downtown San Diego.
