Shunya Seeks One-Act Script Submissions For Their Latest Production Motel-3

Shunya, a Houston-based non-profit theatre troupe, is dedicated to providing a voice to the South Asian American experience through the visual and performing arts.

We are currently accepting one-act play submissions for our Summer production scheduled to open 22nd of August 2008 in Houston, Texas.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:-

1) The Story must take place in a motel.

2) There must be no more than 5 characters***

***Note:- Although we are not restricting characters based on ethnicity or age, please note that the majority of actors who audition are of South Asian origin between the ages of 20-30.

3) Scripts must be between 20-45 pages long.

4) The script must be submitted to shunyamotel3@gmail.com no later than 31st May 2008.

5) The script can be in a PDF, Word or Rich Text Format.

6) Please include a short bio of the playwright(s).

7) Three scripts will be chosen to be cast and produced this summer. The selected scripts will be announced two weeks after the deadline.
