This year, the TeAda Workshop Lab seeks artists to participate in OUTFLOW and GIRL PLANET!
OUTFLOW will present new performance work of local and multicultural artists. The artists will be collecting personal and public oral histories from the residents of Santa Monica. This investigation will highlight the community's radically shifting racial and cultural situation in times of gentrification: How important are the intersections of culture and community; and how does one affect the other?

Culmination Performances at Highways Performance Space: Aug 24-26, 2007

GIRL PLANET seeks Latina playwrights to explore Santa Monica's dwindling African American and Latino populations. The playwrights will be partnered with community organizations to delve deeper into the issues of cultural displacement and segregation today.
Staged Readings at The Miles Memorial Playhouse: Nov 30-Dec 2, 2007

This annual lab offers artists a rare opportunity to work intensively and collaboratively to develop new performance works through master classes, workshops, performance jam sessions, and culminating performances at Highways Performance Space and The Miles Memorial Playhouse.
Application deadline: June 25, 2007
Cost: $500, or 50 hours of volunteer time is accepted in lieu of payment.
