Call For Submission: The Thumping Claw 2008

ART 168 & Propergander join forces to “Make a Bigger Noise and a Louder Thump” Summer 2008 in Hollywood, California

Hollywood, October 31, 2007 -  ART 168 (A Rabbit and Tiger Production) and Propergander (A coalition of artists. Some good. Some evil.) are seeking submissions of 30-minute One Acts and short plays under 30 minutes  for The Thumping Claw One Act Series.  This production, also known this year as Thumping Claw 2008, will feature seasoned Asian American directors and playwrights and emerging new artists.  Portions of the show’s proceeds will go to the Tuesday Night Café Project.  Last year, portions of the show’s proceeds went to The Center for the Pacific Asian Family.

The Thumping Claw One Act Series, named for “a rabbit’s thumping foot to make noise and a tiger’s claws to leave a mark”, will be presented Summer 2008 at the Actor’s Playpen Theater in Hollywood, CA.   In August, 2007, The Thumping Claw One Act Series featured Peanuts (written by Judy Soo Hoo and directed by Michael Hagiwara), Jupiter and Nebula (written and directed by Wesley Du), and Elevator, Elevate Her (written and directed by Jason Fong). The plays were received with rave reviews and sold out performances.

The deadline for submissions is January 16th, 2008 at 12am Pacific Time.
