STORY LINE: This feature length, modern day adaptation of Romeo & Juliet is set in San Francisco around high school gangs.
FORMAT: Digital Video, possibly 35mm by shoot date.

ROLES:

• TROY STEVENS, male, Caucasian, to play 17, handsome, thoughtful, streetwise, Matt's best friend÷LEAD
• JULIE CHU, female, Chinese, to play 16, pretty, sweet, self-assured ÷LEAD
• MATT, male, CAUCASIAN, to play 17-19, leader of the gang, the White Knights, mature, smart and charismatic.
• GREG, male, ASIAN, to play 17-20, leader of the gang, the Warlords, intelligent, confident and mature, gets killed in the first scene.
• PETER, male, ASIAN, to play 17-20, Greg's right hand man, but becomes the leader after Greg's death, his emotions run on high all the time.
• AL, male, CAUCASIAN, to play 18-21, the biggest, oldest and most boisterous member of the White Knights, but he's the least confident.
• JIMMY, male, CAUCASIAN, to play 14-16, even though he's the youngest member of the White Knights, he's the most screwed up.
• SAM, male, ASIAN, to play 14-20, member of the Warlords, head strong and has a problem with authority, but he fears his dad.
• ROSALINE, female, CAUCASIAN, to play 15-18, hangs out with the White Knights, sexy and street tough, has a crush on Troy.
• BETTY, female, CAUCASIAN, to play 15-18, hangs out with the White Knights, sexy and street tough, Rosaline's best friend.
• PAMELA, female, ASIAN, to play 15-19, one of Julie's friends who has a problem with Julie and Troy.
• JAMIE, male, ASIAN, to play 12-14, Julie's little brother, even though he's so young, he's already a gangbanger.
• DETECTIVE RODRIGUEZ, male, ANY ETHNICITY, 30's, ex-gangbanger turned detective, dedicated and fair.
• DETECTIVE McGEE, male, ANY ETHNICITY, 40's to 60's, burnt-out detective and very sarcastic.
• MRS. CHU, female, ASIAN, mid 30's to early 40's, Julie's mom, she's a nurse and has been raising Julie on her own ever since the murder of her husband.
• MR. STEVENS, male, CAUCASIAN, mid 30's to early 40's, Troy's dad, an ex-gangbanger with a past.
• MRS. STEVENS, female, CAUCASIAN, mid 30's to early 40's, Troy's mom, quiet and introverted.
• GYM TEACHER, male or female, ANY ETHNICITY, 20's to 30's, overseeing basketball games during gym class.
• MAN IN ROBE, male, ANY ETHNICITY, any age, gets his car broken into by the White Knights and almost gets jumped by them when he tries to intervene. Character types are highly welcome.
• MOTEL MANAGER, male or female, ANY ETHNICITY, 30's to 50's, manages a rundown motel in Marin.Character types are highly welcome.

Also seeking, basketball players, all ethnicity's, male or female, that can portray high school students. And various extras of all ages and ethinicity's.
