Call for scripts by Indian American playwrightsThe Indo-American Arts Council and The Lark Theatre Company will jointly host an Indian-American Playwrights Festival November 8th-11th, 2001. This is a call to all Indian-American playwrights to please send in scripts along with any relevant materials such as previous reviews, photographs,blue-prints for stage settings, technical details (light/sound), casting. All the accompanying material is not an immediate caveat. At this point, we are requesting all interested playwrights to PLEASE SEND US SCRIPTS Once all the plays have been recieved and read, we will start the process (with the playwrights) of getting directors and casting the plays for rehearsals through the summer. If you already have ideas about this area (or have already produced some of these plays), we'd be delighted to work with you on them. The plays will be showcased at the Lark Theatre, 939 Eighth Ave at 56th Street, New York City. The festival will be open to the public and we will also invite relevant theatre professionals and the media with the hope that one or more of the plays will be picked up for further development on a larger scale. Please contact me with scripts, ideas, input or queries at:
