Chicago's Pintig presents Nanay Isog and her Children

Pintig is the Filipino word meaning "pulse." The vision of Pintig is to communicate the experiences and aspirations of Filipinos and Filipino-Americans to the larger, multi-cultural community. Chicago's Filipino community is the second largest aside from California. Pintig is Chicago's only Filipino organization that supports the growth of burgeoning artists and art appreciators by: launching workshops, providing venues for performances and exhibits of artwork, and creating relationships with mainstream art and cultural organizations. Pintig has been in existence for 9 years and has toured to various campuses in the Midwest. They have also presented and participated in art exhibits, folk concerts, cultural forums and multi-art celebrations.

The organization encourages members of the multi-cultural communities of Chicago to explore the many facets of the Filipino/Filipino-American cultural experience. Nanay Isog and Her Children is a recent adaptation of Bertolt Brecht's masterpiece, Mother Courage and Her Children.
