Stir Friday Nigt: The Lunar Conspiracy: Birth of an Asian

Back from their successful sold out run at the ImprovOlympic West in West Hollywood, California, Stir-Friday Night!, Chicago's own Asian American sketch comedy troupe, returns for their eighth original revue, The Lunar Conspiracy: Birth of an Asian.

Birth of an Asian takes a humorous and thought provoking look at identity, assimilation and Elvis sightings other mysteries of the Oriental-Asian-American mystique. Director Wen Ho Lee Errol McLendon's twenty years of improv, sketch, performance, teaching and directing experience includes productions with Bailiwick Theater Director's Fest, Frump Tucker, Beverly Theatre Guild, Famous Door Theater and three years with the Murder Mystery Players. Errol was also one of the driving forces behind The Guava Bomblets, Los Alamos, New Mexico, Dallas, Texas' longest running sketch comedy and improv troupe.

The veteran cast of Daisy Castro, Wayne Eji, Jennifer Liu, Ron Mok, Quincy Wong and Joe Yau are joined by newcomers Maria Faelner and Choky Lim. The Lunar Conspiracy: Birth of an Asian is scheduled to run Friday and Saturday nights at 10:45 P.M. at Live Bait Theater, 3914 N. Clark Street, Chicago.
