  • Shaking my head over this one....
Neither the Edinburgh Fringe Festival nor certain Yale alumni are covering themselves in glory on this one...Bejing Cake is a product at the Festival purporting to satirize American perceptions of China, but when you have everyone running around in 18th Century dress, and then have actors speak NOT in Mandarin or Cantonese, but made up sing songy gibberish.....well, it seems to me that you're perpetuating stereotyping, not tearing it down...but let blogger Erin Quill say it in so much better terms....(linked 8/20/13)
